Job summary

Olive Dining Ltd is seeking a GeneralAssistant to help in school kitchens across London, Kent, Surrey and Essex. The role is Monday to Friday, 10am–2pm (20 hours), term time only (38 weeks), at £14.80 per hour, with career progression and supportive team culture.

You will assist with front and back-of-house duties, including food prep, serving meals to students and staff, and upholding food hygiene and safety standards in a friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on approach and willingness to perform general kitchen duties.
• Understanding of good food hygiene and health and safety practices.
• Background in kitchens, school meals, hospitality, or customer-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Support front of house and back of house operations.
• Carry out general kitchen duties, including cleaning and food prep.
• Serve meals to students and staff in a friendly, professional manner.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times.
