Job summary

Berkeley Scott is recruiting a School Kitchen Assistant to support school kitchens across Bromsgrove with an immediate start. You will assist with meal preparation and service to pupils and staff, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards in a busy school environment.

The role offers hourly pay of £12.71-£14.50, weekly pay, and ongoing support from the Berkeley Scott team. DBS checks and food hygiene certifications are required or obtainable, with teamwork and reliability key to success.

Qualifications

• DBS check required
• Two references required
• Food Safety Level 2 certificate required or willing to obtain
• Food Allergen Awareness certificate required or willing to obtain
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Previous catering or school kitchen experience desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals to pupils and school staff
• Supporting the kitchen team with daily catering duties
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety
• Washing up and keeping kitchen areas, equipment and workstations clean
