Job summary

Oxford Health is seeking a part‑time Healthcare Support Worker to join the School Aged Immunisation Service in East Oxford. The role involves administering flu vaccinations to young people under supervision, coordinating sessions with schools, and providing essential admin support across Oxfordshire.

You will need to travel to schools and clinics, attend sessions, and ensure accurate record keeping while upholding confidentiality. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration and clinical support within healthcare settings.
• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in schools.
• Eligibility criteria include Level 3+ NHS Careers Framework or recent immunisation role experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the School Aged Immunisation team in organising and delivering school‑based immunisation sessions.
• Attend immunisation sessions in schools and community clinics to provide admin support and vaccinate under supervision.
• Observe students post-vaccination and ensure vaccine storage, transport and disposal of equipment are managed safely.
• Travel to schools and community venues; car driver with access to a vehicle; mileage paid.
• Maintain strict data and patient confidentiality and communicate clearly with families and schools.
