Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified Specialist Public Health Nurse - School Nurse to join the 0-19 Reading team. The role is term time and involves delivering school nursing services across defined schools, managing a defined caseload, and leading on health assessments with strong collaboration with Health Visiting colleagues.

The post requires NMC registration, leadership experience, and a commitment to innovative practice.

Qualifications

• Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (School Nursing) on the NMC register.
• High standard of clinical work with children/young people.
• Ability to carry/manoeuvre light to moderate loads.
• Driver with willingness to travel to multiple sites.
• Demonstrated leadership and commitment to training.”

Responsabilités

• Delivering school drop in sessions to targeted schools.
• Manage and organise a defined caseload independently.
• Undertake in-depth health assessments for Children in Care and those subject to protection plans.
• Ensure efficient use of resources within the team.
• Provide targeted health interventions to children and young people with identified needs.
• Exercise leadership to maintain high standards of clinical practice.
