Job summary

The Royal Alexandra and Albert School is seeking a proactive Non-Resident Health Centre Manager to lead our Health Centre and nursing team, delivering high-quality medical and pastoral care for pupils, staff and visitors.

We are a co-educational state boarding school with a 6-bed Health Centre; the role requires managing clinical and safeguarding duties, ensuring standards align with Boarding School regulations, and fostering training across departments.

Qualifications

• RSCN, RN-Child, or RGN with relevant experience.
• Current registration with the NMC.
• Direct experience in a school or healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of National Minimum Standards for Boarding Schools.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong IT literacy and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Manage and coordinate operational rotas, shift patterns, and daily logistics for the Health Centre team.
• Service Excellence: Ensure high standards of clinical and pastoral care in line with National Minimum Standards for Boarding Schools.
• Staff Development & Training: Liaise across school departments and deliver health/first-aid training and CPD to school staff.
• Compliance & Confidentiality: Maintain strict medical confidentiality, safeguarding standards, and accurate health records at all times.
