Job summary

HR-CL Limited is seeking an experienced School Head Chef to lead kitchen operations across a roaming role serving the B61 postcode area. You will deliver nutritious meals in a school catering environment, travelling between sites in the Birmingham area.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, menu planning aligned with standards, and rigorous food hygiene. Daytime hours with Monday–Friday shifts support work-life balance and community impact.

Qualifications

• Proven Head Chef or Senior Chef experience in school or contract catering.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the kitchen team to deliver high-quality meals.
• Plan menus in line with school food standards and nutritional guidelines.
• Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, health and safety.
• Manage stock control, ordering, and budgeting.
• Travel between sites as required across the B61 area.
