Job summary

Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School is recruiting a Food Technician on a temporary, part-time basis. The role supports teaching staff by preparing resources, maintaining equipment, and helping with demonstrations. You will manage stock, record breakages and liaise with the finance team and suppliers as needed.

The post offers 15 hours per week across 39 weeks per year, with Grade 4 Scale Point 9 (£26,847) pro-rata according to appointment. Benefits include wellbeing support and pension access.

Qualifications

• Experience of food and nutrition in an educational setting.
• Ability to prepare teaching resources and support demonstrations.
• Good record-keeping and stock management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare resources for teaching, demonstrations and displays.
• Return stock to storage and maintain department equipment safely.
• Record breakages, monitor stock levels and liaise with finance and suppliers.
• Carry out general administrative tasks within the department.
