Job summary

The Bewdley School is seeking a part-time Food Technician to support food and nutrition teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role includes aiding demonstrations, preparing ingredients, and in-class support. It entails 39 weeks per year, term-time salary of £4,632 plus one training day, and requires the Enhanced DBS disclosure.

Qualifications

• Experience of kitchen work and ability to work directly with children.
• On-the-job training offered to suitably qualified applicant.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Experience in hospitality-related environment would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist food teacher with demonstration lessons and practicals.
• Prepare and clear away ingredients and equipment.
• Provide in-class support during lessons as needed.
• Make arrangements for maintenance/repair of cooking equipment.
• Print and organise recipes.
