Job summary

Sodexo is recruiting for a Food Service Assistant at Highworth Warneford School in Swindon. The role covers term-time only hours across 39 weeks, with a 16-hour week and a pay rate of £12.71 per hour.

You’ll assist with food preparation and service, maintain hygiene standards, and support deliveries in a busy dining operation. Training is provided and a supportive team environment is offered.

Qualifications

• Positive and reliable attitude
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Good organisation and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a busy environment and prioritise tasks
• Previous catering or food service experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages
• Maintain clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining areas
• Replenish food displays and service counters as required
• Support deliveries and store supplies appropriately
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures
• Provide a friendly and helpful service to customers, colleagues or visitors
