Job summary

The Acorns School is seeking a proactive School Business Manager to lead financial and administrative services. You will oversee resources, develop systems and manage a small team, reporting to the Headteacher and governing body.

You will also support income generation, bids for funding, health and safety, and safeguarding, ensuring efficient operations across finance, HR, admin and premises.

Qualifications

• Experience in administrative / finance roles.
• Working at or towards NOS in business and administration and knowledge/skills equivalent to current national qualifications level 4 or CSBM.

Responsibilities

• Manage the school’s resources and financial management.
• Plan, develop, design and monitor administrative systems and procedures.
• Supervise a small team of office & premise staff.
• Assist Headteacher and governors with income generation and marketing.
• Prepare data, reports and information for senior leadership, governors and external agencies.
• Oversee HR administration and procurement processes including service contracts, licences and insurance.
• Manage facilities, lettings and liaise with external contractors.
• Support bids for external funding and lettings.
