Job summary

Kingsland CofE Academy, part of St Bart’s Multi Academy Trust, seeks a reliable Premises and Security Officer to help maintain a safe school environment. You will carry out security checks, basic repairs, and assist with lettings, deliveries, and contractor liaison.

Join a dedicated team supported by the Senior Leadership Team, with emphasis on safeguarding, COSHH compliance, and efficient operation of the school site.

Qualifications

• Experience in premises management or facilities support.
• Ability to perform light maintenance and repairs within general trades.
• Familiarity with COSHH and health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Secure buildings and conduct daily security checks.
• Maintain maintenance and security records.
• Operate building systems (heating, cooling, lighting, CCTV, alarms).
• Receive deliveries and manage waste collection.
• Assist with lettings and related tasks.
• Act as key holder for emergency access.
• Coordinate with contractors and promote safeguarding of pupils.
