Job summary

Apleona UK in Inverness is seeking a School Janitor / Facilities Operative to join our FM team, delivering hard, soft and grounds maintenance across site operations. The role is permanent, full‑time (40 hours) Monday to Friday 07:00–15:30 with a salary up to £28,572.84 and a benefits package including 25 days holiday, dental insurance, cycle to work and healthcare options.

Candidates should have FM experience, be able to follow SOPs, hold a valid driving licence and be willing to work weekends

Qualifications

• Experience of working in Facilities Management type operation desired.
• Good written & verbal communication skills. Numeracy skills.
• Able to understand & follow standard operating procedures.
• Able to use a PDA & basic desktop operation following training.
• Able to work alone or as part of a team, demonstrates company values e.g. customer first.
• Full, current driving licence.
• Able to work weekends on a rota basis (enhanced over time rates paid).

Responsibilities

• Deliver hard, soft and grounds maintenance services as part of the FM team.
• Ensure repairs and maintenance are undertaken in accordance with agreed protocols & time frames.
• Work within a controlled H&S environment to deliver end-to-end service to users.
