Job summary

St Catherine’s CE Primary School in Larkhill is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the safe, secure day-to-day management of the site, buildings and grounds, reporting to the School Business Manager. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on maintenance to support pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management or school site operations.
• Ability to manage external contractors and compliance.
• Strong organisational and health and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• The Facilities Manager will support the School Business Manager and Headteacher by taking responsibility for the safe, secure, efficient and effective day-to-day management of the school site, buildings, grounds and facilities.
• Ensure high standards of health and safety, premises compliance, site security and maintenance.
• Oversee contractor management, cleaning, asset management and emergency preparedness.
• Manage lettings and opening/locking duties as required.
• Promote a safe, welcoming and well-maintained school environment.
