Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a reliable Site Manager & Minibus Driver for a thriving secondary school in Thurrock. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, maintenance, and security, while also coordinating transport needs and driving the school minibus for visits and events.

The role requires hands-on maintenance skills, knowledge of health and safety, the ability to work independently, and a full UK driving licence with minibus experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Manager, Caretaker, Facilities or Estates role.
• Practical maintenance and DIY skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures and site compliance.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management, maintenance and security of the school site.
• Carry out routine repairs, maintenance and health & safety checks.
• Manage contractors and oversee site-related projects as required.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and school policies.
• Open and close the school premises as required.
• Monitor and maintain school facilities, grounds and equipment.
• Drive the school minibus for educational visits, sporting fixtures and other activities.
• Carry out vehicle checks and maintain the minibus to a safe standard.
• Support the wider school team with general operational requirements.
