Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is recruiting a Primary Janitor to join the Facilities team at Woodhead Primary School in Hamilton. The role covers janitorial and cleaning duties, with responsibilities for documenting related processes and ensuring safety standards.

The position is 40 hours per week during term time, with additional lets evenings. Applicants should be prepared for PVG disclosure and liaison with contractors as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial/cleaning duties preferred.
• Ability to follow COSHH regulations.
• PVG scheme membership or update check will be required for offer.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with Facilities Manager and team to meet daily customer needs.
• Log, monitor and report all damage or faults to fabric and fixtures.
• Liaise with external contractors and lessees to ensure health, safety and security procedures are followed.
• Monitor activities of lessees and contractors and report issues to line manager.
