Job summary

Equans is recruiting a Caretaker for Kings Oak Primary in Barnsley. The role is permanent, full-time, working 37.5 hours per week with a salary of £25,759.50 per year.

Key tasks include site management, litter picking, maintenance, porterage, security and reception duties, plus serving as a liaison between Equans and the school. Applicants must have a full UK driving licence, trade experience, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Experience in a trade or similar role.
• Excellent customer service skills expected.
• Able to prioritise and work independently.
• Able to use own initiative.
• H&S experience in manual handling and working at height desirable.
• Knowledge of COSHH guidelines desirable.

Responsibilities

• General site management including litter picking and maintenance.
• Porterage, security and reception duties.
• Serve as a link between Equans and the school.
• Ensure safety and compliance in daily operations.
