Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is assisting an independent secondary school in Birmingham to recruit an experienced Data Manager for the support team. You will oversee the school's data systems, ensure accurate student records, and support assessment, reporting, examinations and planning.

Based in Birmingham, the role involves maintaining MIS, producing reports for senior leaders, assisting with timetabling, census returns and data queries.

Qualifications

• Experience with school data management; secondary setting preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable handling sensitive information and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining the school's MIS
• Keeping student records accurate and up to date
• Coordinating assessment and reporting cycles
• Producing reports and analysis for senior leaders
• Supporting examination and curriculum data
• Assisting with timetabling and option information
• Preparing statutory returns and census information
• Responding to staff data queries and resolving issues
• Checking data quality and maintaining records
• Reviewing and improving existing data processes
• Supporting staff with the use of school systems
• Ensuring all student information is handled securely and confidentially
