Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is partnering with a high-performing secondary school in Manchester to appoint a Data Officer. You will maintain student records, manage the MIS, and support assessment cycles across the academic year.

A strong data background with Excel and IT skills is required, and experience with SIMS/Arbor/Bromcom is welcomed. The role is based in Manchester, full-time, with a competitive salary depending on experience and a supportive working environment.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will be organised, reliable and confident working with data.
• Good Excel and IT skills are important, along with excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience using SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom or a similar school MIS would be useful.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate student records and information.
• Updating the school's MIS.
• Supporting assessment and reporting cycles.
• Producing reports, spreadsheets and data for staff.
• Checking information and correcting inaccuracies.
• Assisting with attendance, admissions and student data.
• Supporting examination and curriculum information.
• Responding to data requests from teaching and leadership staff.
• Assisting with statutory returns and census information.
• Maintaining confidentiality when dealing with student records.
• Helping to improve data processes and systems across the school.
