Job summary

Moseley School & Sixth Form is seeking an experienced Data Manager to lead strategic data management, analysis and reporting across the school. You will work closely with senior leaders, teaching staff and external stakeholders to ensure data integrity, security and meaningful insight to drive school improvement and student achievement.

The role requires expertise in MIS, GDPR, census returns, Excel and Power BI, plus strong data governance, QA and line management.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in school data management including MIS, GDPR and census reporting.
• Advanced Excel and Power BI skills with data visualization capabilities.
• Expertise in business intelligence, performance analytics and KPIs.
• Experience leading staff via line management, appraisal and performance review.
• Strong attention to data validation, QA, audit and compliance.
• Ability to communicate data-driven insights to support school improvement.
• Excellent organisation and stakeholder management under tight deadlines.
• Proactive, solution-focused approach and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic management, analysis and reporting of data across the school.
• Maintain integrity, accuracy and security of data systems and processes.
• Develop robust reporting mechanisms to inform performance and decisions.
• Produce and analyse complex datasets, identify trends and monitor KPIs for governors and senior leaders.
• Drive data governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement to stay compliant.
