Essex County Council is seeking a School Crossing Patrol Officer for Stock CE Primary School, Stock, Ingatestone. The role is part-time (7.5 hours/week) with a split shift: 08:00–09:00 and 14:45–15:45 across 39 academic weeks. Uniform, equipment and training are provided, and the role requires right to work in the UK.

Visa sponsorship is not available. The officer assists pupils and families across the crossing, maintaining a calm, professional presence and ensuring safe crossing at the start

Formación

• Punctual and reliable individual with an approachable manner.
• Willingness to engage with the public and support school crossings.

Responsabilidades

• Support schools in the morning and afternoon to ensure pedestrian safety.
• Give clear signals to drivers and ensure crossing is safe before allowing pedestrians to proceed.
• Report problems or defects to the supervisor and maintain uniform/equipment in good condition.
