Job summary

St Helens Council is recruiting School Crossing Patrol Operatives to help keep children safe on their journeys to and from school. The role is part-time, 5 hours per week, during term time, with morning and afternoon shifts and outdoor duties in all weathers.

No prior experience or formal qualifications are required; training is provided. You will work as part of a friendly team and contribute to road safety in the community.

Qualifications

• Experience and formal qualifications are not required.
• Good rapport with children and adults.
• Awareness of road safety.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Keep children safe crossing in designated positions.
• Work 5 hours per week during term time (mornings and afternoons).
• Be available to cover morning and afternoon shifts as needed.
• Receive full training for the role.
