Job summary

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is seeking a friendly School Crossing Patrol Officer to help keep children safe on the journey to and from school. You'll be based outside a local school, supervising crossings and assisting pedestrians in all weather.

This term-time, part-time role offers 10 hours per week (8:00-9:00 and 14:45-15:45). The salary is £5,888 per year, with full training and the chance to be a familiar, trusted presence in your community.

Qualifications

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills required.
• Good road awareness and common sense essential.
• Ability to supervise children and adults safely.

Responsibilities

• Supervising school crossings and ensuring they operate safely and effectively.
