East Midlands Councils/East Midlands Jobs is recruiting an Assistant School Crossing Patrol Supervisor for the Erewash area to support the Area Supervisor and oversee patrols across sites. The role combines field duties with light administration and requires good communication with schools, parents, and the public.

The role pays for 10 hours per week with variable shifts, holiday pay covered, and requires a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

• Friendly and approachable in public, with children and parents
• Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
• Comfortable speaking to children, parents, schools, and the public
• Understanding of health and safety and risk awareness
• Able to follow health and safety and conduct guidelines and raise concerns
• Able to use basic IT systems and complete administrative tasks
• Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle

Responsabilités

• Support School Crossing Patrol staff in day-to-day work
• Visit sites to check patrols are operating safely
• Help deal with issues or incidents at sites under the guidance of the Area Supervisor
• Speak with schools, parents, and members of the public
• Help with uniform and equipment
• Keep accurate records
• Pass information to the Area Supervisor
• Cover patrol duties if needed
