Job description

The Cook, with passion and flair for food, is required to manage the smooth running of the kitchen on a daily basis, ensuring lunches and dinners are produced to a high standard for students, some of whom are on restrictive diets, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include managing the kitchen team and a budget, stock control, menu planning, promoting health, safety, and hygiene, and attending and supporting training.

Additional hours may be required during the year to support larger-scale catering events such as the Christmas meal and the end-of-year celebration.

Who we are:

Spark of Genius Ltd operates small therapeutic residential care homes throughout Scotland and England for young people with various support needs. Our schools also educate young people who cannot sustain mainstream educational placements.

Skypoint School:

A small specialist provision catering for pupils with complex social, emotional needs, and autism. The school is registered for 45 pupils from different local authorities, for whom mainstream provisions are not accessible.
