Job summary

Byrchall High School is seeking a passionate content creator to manage the website, social media channels, in-school displays and communications, using video and photography to tell student and staff stories.

Ideally a videographer or media graduate, you will plan termly content, film, edit and publish daily across social platforms and the school website, working with the Director of Communications and Assistant Head for Admissions.

Qualifications

• Plan, film, edit and publish content daily across channels.
• Collaborate with Director of Communications and Assistant Head for Admissions.

Responsibilities

• Manage all video and photographic requirements across the school.
• Plan, write content for, and manage social media accounts across the range of platforms used by the school, including responding to relevant trends and using creative approaches.
• Manage and maintain the school website and other public platforms.
• Take a lead role in the implementation of the school’s marketing strategy, ensuring strong links with the community.
• Attend events, some of which may be after school, and ensure it is showcased effectively through video and photography.
• From a brief provided by the Assistant Head for Community and Partnership, to capture material needed for the website and graphic design or digital projects.
• Create an asset management system so images can be titled and sourced efficiently.
• Ensure high quality audio is recorded for every video project.
• Record podcasts with staff and students.
• Assist IT with events including live streaming and production.
• Create a virtual tour of the school with involvement from key stakeholders.
• To support staff and the school community in the creation of media and web-based content.
• Being a strong advocate by representing our school community positively.
• Build community engagement by encouraging interaction between students, staff, parents, stakeholders and wider members of the school community.
