Job summary

Vertas is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to join our Facilities Team at Retford Oaks High School, DN22 7BP. The role is 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shifts 06:00–08:30 and 15:30–18:00, covering 52 weeks a year.

You will supervise the cleaning team, allocate duties, perform quality checks, and ensure hygiene standards across classrooms and communal areas, while adhering to health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is essential.
• Previous supervisory experience is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Great communication skills and experience in a similar cleaning setting.
• A team player providing an excellent service across the Vertas Group.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting a team of cleaning colleagues.
• Allocating daily cleaning duties and monitoring standards.
• Cleaning toilets and washrooms.
• Wiping down tables and surfaces.
• General cleaning duties across classrooms and communal areas.
• Hoovering and mopping floors.
• Completing quality checks and maintaining cleaning records.
• Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained.
