Job summary

Sodexo Ltd is recruiting for a School Cleaning Supervisor at Edinburgh Academy Senior School in Edinburgh. This 25-hour-per-week role runs Monday to Friday from 4pm to 9pm, with occasional weekend work as required. It is a 52-week contract with a consistent, stable schedule designed to support a safe and welcoming school environment.

You will lead a small cleaning team, ensure high standards, and develop staff through training and effective rota management.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning or housekeeping, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Hands-on leadership with a proactive approach to team support.
• Knowledge of cleaning processes, Health & Safety, and COSHH regulations.
• High standards of professionalism and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily cleaning operations and floor care; handle reactive cleaning tasks.
• Motivate and organise the team via rosters and training.
• Conduct audits, monthly checks, and safety walks.
• Manage cleaning materials and chemicals in line with COSHH.
• Ensure standards meet Sodexo and client expectations.
• Monitor performance, resources, and incident reporting.
• Provide hands-on support and cover when needed.

What You'll Be Doing
