Qualifications

• Good interpersonal skills with staff, pupils, suppliers, contractors and the public.
• Experience using cleaning materials and equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning Health & Safety standards.
• Willingness to learn school systems and undertake job related training.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean all surfaces, fixtures and fittings in the designated area.
• Wash walls, glass and woodwork using appropriate equipment.
• Clean kitchen areas not handled by other departments.
• Clean all floor surfaces using the designated method and machinery.
• Clean sanitary areas, toilets and changing rooms.
• Collect and bag waste; prepare for disposal.
• Replenish soap, towels, toilet rolls and disposal bags.
• Report faulty equipment and any maintenance needs.
• Ensure windows are closed and lights off before leaving.
