Job summary

Monmouthshire County Council is recruiting for a cleaning vacancy at Pembroke Primary School. You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of hygiene and cleanliness, including washing floors and walls, sweeping, vacuuming and emptying bins.

The role is term-time only (42 weeks per year) with pro rata salary and 37 hours per week (or 32.5 hours per week for school teachers reference). DBS check required (Enhanced with Children Barred List).

Qualifications

• DBS check: Enhanced with Children Barred List Check will apply
• Welsh language skills are desirable
• Experience in school cleaning or similar janitorial work is preferred

Responsibilities

• Cleaning tasks including washing floors and walls, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting and emptying litter bins
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness to a high standard in Pembroke Primary School
• Carry out routine cleaning duties within term-time weeks (42 weeks per year)
• Adhere to health and safety policies and report any maintenance issues
