Halfpenny Lane Junior, Infant & Nursery School is seeking a Cleaning Assistant to help keep our school clean, hygienic and welcoming for children, staff and visitors. This part‑time role offers 15 hours weekly across Monday to Friday, year round, with a permanent contract.

You’ll maintain classrooms and shared spaces, refill consumables, and assist with basic record‑keeping. A positive, proactive attitude and ability to work both as part of a team and independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Friendly, positive attitude with staff and pupils.
• Can work well in a team and also independently.
• Hardworking, dependable and takes pride in cleaning spaces.
• Ideally have experience in a similar cleaning role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean classrooms and shared spaces across the school.
• Refill and replace cleaning consumables.
• Carry out basic record‑keeping as directed.
• Report faulty equipment or maintenance issues.
