Job summary

The Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a School Cleaner to undertake cleaning duties within school premises as directed by the line manager. You will work as part of a team, ensuring areas are cleaned to required standards and complying with COSHH and health and safety regulations.

You will be expected to demonstrate initiative, communicate clearly in English, and organise tasks effectively while remaining flexible to cover duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties as directed in school premises.
• Maintain hygiene and safety in line with COSHH and Health & Safety.
• Keep areas clean including toilets, floors, ledges and surfaces.
• Work as part of a team and cover colleagues as required.
• Complete necessary paperwork and report hazards promptly.
