Job summary

Local Education is recruiting School Cleaners for temporary and flexible assignments across Essex. Duties include cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets, staff rooms and offices, vacuuming, mopping and sanitising surfaces in school environments.

Previous experience in schools is helpful but not essential; experience from offices, hotels or hospitals will also be considered. You must be reliable, punctual and able to work independently, with safeguarding checks completed.

We support schools, academies and specialist education settings with staffing cover and are looking to build a reliable team of cleaners who can assist when schools experience sickness, vacancies or additional staffing requirements.

Duties may include:

• Cleaning classrooms
• Corridors and communal areas
• Toilets and washrooms
• Staff rooms and offices
• Emptying bins
• Vacuuming and mopping
• Sanitising surfaces
• Maintaining high hygiene standards throughout the school
