Job summary

Rochdale Sixth Form College is seeking a hardworking and reliable Cleaner to join the facilities team. You will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.

dUties include cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices and toilets; carrying out deep cleaning; responding to spillages; operating cleaning equipment safely; restocking cleaning supplies; checking and reporting equipment faults; and supporting safeguarding and confidentiality in line with college

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a calm, confident manner.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and use own initiative.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
• High levels of energy, resilience and enthusiasm.
• Commitment to safeguarding and maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Undertake general cleaning duties throughout the college, including classrooms, corridors, offices and toilet facilities.
• Carry out deep cleaning and detailed cleaning tasks to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Respond promptly to spillages and ensure areas are made safe.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH requirements.
• Refill and restock cleaning supplies and consumables.
• Check, maintain and report issues with cleaning equipment.
