Job summary

Ceredigion County Council is seeking a reliable school cleaner to join our team in Aberaeron. You will help maintain clean, safe, and hygienic classrooms, corridors, staff rooms, toilets, and communal areas for staff, pupils, and visitors.

The role emphasises following health and safeguarding procedures on site, safe operation of cleaning equipment, and timely reporting of maintenance concerns. Full training and ongoing support are provided, with a flexible, positive attitude encouraged to work

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential.
• We welcome applications from individuals with little or no experience.
• Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, staff rooms, toilets, and communal areas to a high standard.
• Ensure hygiene in areas used by children, including regular disinfection of surfaces.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment and use appropriate cleaning products.
• Follow health and safety and safeguarding procedures while on site.
• Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the relevant personnel.
