Job summary

Cyngor Sir Ceredigion County Council is seeking a reliable school cleaner to join our team to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for staff, children, and visitors.

The successful candidate will follow health and safety procedures, operate cleaning equipment, and support health, safety and wellbeing across school sites in Wales. Training will be provided, and Welsh language support is available if needed.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
• Health and Safety training will be provided.
• Welsh language support available for candidates who need it.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, staff rooms, toilets, and communal areas to a high standard.
• Ensure hygiene in areas used by children, including regular disinfection of surfaces.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment and use appropriate cleaning products.
• Follow health and safety and safeguarding procedures on site.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to the relevant personnel.
