Job summary

Trimdon Hill School, part of Outcomes First Group, is seeking a reliable School Cleaner to join our onsite team. You will maintain a hygienic environment across classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas, contributing to the health and safety of our pupils aged 4–11 in a brand-new independent specialist school.

You will handle daily cleaning tasks, waste disposal, consumables, and reporting maintenance needs through the Office Manager or Headteacher, while working independently or as part

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cleaning or janitorial role, ideally in a school or similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning duties in classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas.
• Sanitize toilets and sanitary facilities.
• Manage waste disposal and recycling.
• Replenish consumables such as soap and toilet rolls.
• Follow cleaning schedules and complete projects during holidays or closures.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain tidy storage of cleaning materials.
• Report faulty equipment or safety concerns via the reporting system.
• Support the wider school team with additional janitorial tasks.
