Job summary

Cotsford Primary in Peterlee is seeking two cleaners to join our team. The role involves cleaning duties after school hours, with a total of 9 hours per week across Monday to Friday, as detailed in the job description. DBS disclosure will be required if successful, and applicants should be able to uphold the school’s safeguarding commitments.

The post is not open to job-share. Interviews will be held during the week commencing 19 October 2026. Location: Third Street, Horden, Peterlee, SR8 4EH.

Qualifications

• Have basic cleaning experience.
• Have high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
• The ability to work as independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Have the ability to present oneself as a role model to pupils in speech, dress behaviour and attitude.
• Be flexible to change to meet the needs of the school.
