Job summary

St. Luke's CE Primary in Rochdale is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join our friendly team. You will work under the Site Manager to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

The role covers cleaning duties such as washing, sweeping, vacuuming and emptying bins, with reporting of faults and adherence to health and safety policies. It is a permanent post at 16 hours per week, subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering cleaning duties to school standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of health and safety when handling cleaning materials.

Responsibilities

• Undertake cleaning duties across designated areas to maintain high cleanliness.
• Carry out general cleaning tasks including washing, sweeping, vacuuming, polishing and dusting.
• Empty litter bins and clean toilets; report faults and concerns.
• Follow health and safety policies and procedures; communicate with staff and pupils.
