Job summary

St Michael's CE Middle School in Dorset is seeking a part-time Cleaner to join our team. The role covers cleaning duties across the school, including pool area and studio gym, with specific hours split between two roles totalling 14 hours per week.

The successful candidate will work with limited supervision, uphold health and safety standards, and help maintain a clean, hygienic environment for students and staff. Salary is pro-rata and temporary until 31 August 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience of following processes and procedures.
• Clear communication with cleaning team and across the school.
• Fluency in English to understand cleaning instructions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning tasks per the school's cleaning schedule.
• Use cleaning materials and equipment safely and correctly.
• Report breakdowns or hazards to supervisor.
• Observe health and safety and security requirements.
• Complete records or documentation as required.
• Maintain good working relationships with staff and adapt daily routines as needed.
• Undertake training and ensure tasks meet stated requirements.
• Promote safeguarding and welfare of children as per policy.
