Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Cleaning Operative to join the Facilities Management team at Bluebell Primary School. This on-site role focuses on maintaining high cleaning standards and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for students and staff throughout the year.

The position is part-time (10 hours per week) with some flexibility in hours. DBS check is required; responsibilities include classroom and common area cleaning, floor care, waste disposal, and adhering to COSHH guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning surfaces – wiping down tables within classrooms and touch points across the school
• Floor care – hoovering carpeted areas and sweeping and mopping hard floors
• Waste disposal – emptying bins across the school in classrooms, staff areas, and toilets
• Toilet areas – cleaning toilets, sinks and floors to maintain excellent hygiene standards
• Working in line with COSHH guidelines to ensure safety at all times
