Job summary

Booker Park School is seeking a School Cleaner to join our team, maintaining a safe, clean environment for learners by keeping classrooms, offices, corridors and facilities clean.

Duties include sweeping, hoovering, mopping, dusting and binning; deep cleaning during holidays; training provided; you should be reliable, punctual and capable of working independently, with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Has experience of general cleaning duties.
• Takes pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Is reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• Has excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• Works effectively as part of a team and is willing to support colleagues when required.
• Is physically capable of undertaking the duties of the role.
• Experience working within a school environment or with children and young people with SEND would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, offices, toilets, and corridors to a high standard.
• Carry out daily cleaning duties: sweeping, hoovering, mopping, dusting and bin emptying.
• Use a range of cleaning equipment and materials.
• Undertake specialist cleaning tasks in designated areas at specific times (e.g., holidays).
• Report maintenance or health & safety issues when needed.
