Job summary

Codsall Middle School is seeking a dedicated cleaner to join the cleaning team. You will work 12.5 hours per week over 38 weeks while pupils are present and 37.5 hours during closure periods, under the supervision of the Cleaning Supervisor.

The role involves maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, following health and safety policies, and supporting safeguarding commitments. Start date 02.11.2026. Permanent part-time contract.

Qualifications

• Experience in routine cleaning and hygiene maintenance.
• Ability to follow health and safety policies and training.
• Willingness to participate in training and meetings as required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mop sweeping and cleaning tasks as directed.
• Perform single-solution mopping and buffing.
• Use spray cleaning and suction cleaning methods.
• Damp wipe and dispose of waste according to policy.
• Strip and reseal hard floors; clean toilets and fixtures.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and maintain facilities.
