Education World Ltd is assisting a primary school in Blyth to recruit a reliable School Cleaner for a September 2026 start. This part-time role runs Monday to Friday from 15:30 to 17:45 and aims to keep classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas clean and safe for pupils and staff.

The successful applicant will hold an Enhanced DBS (or be willing to obtain one), work independently, follow health and safety procedures, and contribute to a welcoming school environment with high cleaning

Responsibilities

  • Clean classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas to a high standard.
  • Clean and sanitise toilets and washrooms.
  • Vacuum, sweep and mop floors throughout designated areas.
  • Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
  • Wipe and sanitise surfaces, desks and frequently touched areas.
  • Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies as required.
  • Use cleaning equipment and products safely in line with health and safety procedures.
  • Report maintenance, damage or health and safety concerns to staff.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed.

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and dedicated School Cleaner to join a welcoming primary school in Blyth from September 2026. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene is an important part of the school's daily operation, and the successful School Cleaner will become a valued member of the wider school team.
This is a part‑time position working Monday to Friday from 15:30–17:45, commencing in September 2026.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, and communal areas to a high standard.
  • Clean and sanitise toilets and washroom facilities.
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors throughout designated areas of the school.
  • Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
  • Wipe and sanitise surfaces, desks, and frequently touched areas.

Essential Criteria
