Job summary

Responsibilities include cleaning tasks across designated areas, maintaining hygiene, and adhering to Health and Safety policies. The position is part of a bilingual service delivery and may involve working across different terms and school schedules.

Qualifications

• Linguistic requirement: Welsh language level noted as essential in the Person Specification.
• Desirable: Training in Health and Safety (e.g., moving and handling or first aid).
• Desirable: Experience as a cleaner.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, washing, sweeping and vacuum cleaning.
• Emptying litter and recycling bins.
• Polishing and dusting of designated areas including furniture and fixtures.
• Use of powered equipment when required.
• Adjusting duties per term and school closure periods.
• Cleaning toilets and shower areas, replenishing toilet paper and soap.
• Move between areas as needed.
• Report any concerns in line with Health and Safety policies.
• Commitment to reducing the Council's carbon footprint.
