Norton Hill School in Midsomer Norton is hiring a School Cleaner to join our team. This permanent, all-year-round role covers 12.5 hours per week, with term-time hours and additional cleaning during school openings.

You will keep floors, surfaces, toilets, and common areas hygienic and welcoming for staff, students, and visitors. We value attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Prior commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as sweeping, mopping, lifting, and bending.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, toilets, and common areas.

• Restock supplies and manage waste disposal responsibly.
