Job summary

Pinnacle Group Limited is seeking a School Cleaner for Lower Wortley Primary School in Leeds. The role covers term-time cleaning, with the 12½ hours per week scheduled Monday to Friday 3.30 pm – 6 pm, supporting a safe and hygienic learning environment.

You will join our Total FM Cleaning Team and be responsible for high standards of cleanliness, safety, and reliability in a school setting. DBS checks and references will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning services and equipment.
• Knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety practices.
• Good timekeeping and attendance.
• Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative.
• DBS check and reference checks applicable.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning toilet facilities, hand basins and replenishing supplies.

Pinnacle Group is looking for an experienced School Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at one of our schools. You will be joining our Total FM Cleaning Team at Lower Wortley Primary School, Leeds, LS12.

Our Total Facilities Management team delivers integrated asset management and maintenance services across education, leisure, corporate, health and residential sectors. We focus on keeping facilities running smoothly, safely, and efficiently – helping our clients create spaces that work for everyone.

Your role will involve general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste management to ensure that the internal school facilities are cleaned to the required standard as directed by the Facilities Assistant and/or Superintendent.

You will be reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellence.

You will be working with a team of school cleaners for12 ½ hours per week, Monday to Friday 3.30 pm – 6 pm, during Term Time; then, during the school holidays, you will work your hours during the daytime.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning toilet facilities, hand basins and replenishing toilet paper, hand soap and towels
• Damp-wipe tables, chairs, desks, skirting boards, windowsills and hard surfaces
• Vacuum all soft floors and carpets, including barrier matting
• Damp & spot mopping, dusting, polishing of surfaces, fixtures and fittings, sanitising touch points, door handles, push plates
• To ensure you are adhering to the colour coding directives and are regularly changing mop heads, cloths, and other equipment.

Key requirements will include:

• Good knowledge, experience, and attention to detail in cleaning services and cleaning equipment, including COSHH and Health and Safety
• Good timekeeping and attendance are important
• Ability to work to laid-down schedules.
• Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative
• To meet the child safeguarding regulations, the appointment to this role will be subject to completion of an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS Check) & checkable Work References.
