Overstone Gate Primary School, part of Wootton Park Academy Trust, is seeking a School Cleaner to join our new site in Overstone Leys. The role runs 3.30pm–7.30pm, Monday to Friday, totaling 20 hours per week across 40 weeks per annum (term time plus 5 training days and 5 deep clean days to be agreed).

Applicants should have good English, be reliable and value safeguarding; a DBS disclosure and compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in school or commercial cleaning preferred.
• Clear spoken and written English.
• DBS check and safeguarding awareness required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain classrooms and communal areas.
• Empty bins, sweep, mop, dust and disinfect surfaces.
• Report maintenance issues and ensure security of premises.

Wootton Park Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a School Cleaner for our new Primary School, Overstone Gate Primary School. This is a rewarding and important position within our growing school and trust. The position will be based at the new school site in Overstone Leys when it opens in October.

The hours of work will cover late afternoon/early evening, 3.30pm-7.30pm, Monday to Friday - 20 hours per week, 40 weeks per annum (term time plus 5 teacher training days and 5 deep clean days to be agreed)

Overstone Gate Primary School opened with 30 Reception learners in 2025. It will grow year on year until at capacity of 420 children.

A flagship state‑of‑the‑art sustainable new build located just off the A43 bypass is planned for the school with features including a green roof, solar panels, living walls, natural light and ventilation throughout the building, and outdoor spaces including a habitat area, amphitheatre, trim trail, multi‑use games area (MUGA) and large hardstanding playground.

Overstone Gate Primary School will be based on the highly successful model established by the oversubscribed all‑through Wootton Park School, graded ‘Outstanding’ in all inspection categories in 2019 and then was judged as ‘continuing to be outstanding’ in 2025. The school’s vision is founded on strong academic achievement, developing strong values and promoting citizenship, community and service, providing a ‘foundation for growth’ where every child will thrive and prosper.
