Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd in Northumberland is seeking a reliable School Cleaner to help maintain high standards of cleanliness in a local school. The role offers part-time hours and an opportunity to contribute to a safe, welcoming environment for pupils and staff.

You will carry out daily cleaning tasks across classrooms, corridors and communal areas, following health and safety guidelines and reporting any issues promptly. Immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Reliability and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to purchase one.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily cleaning tasks including classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas.
• Ensure all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard, following health and safety guidelines.
• Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively.
• Report maintenance issues or hazards promptly.
• Work as part of a team to ensure the school remains a safe and pleasant place for pupils and staff.

Job Title: School Cleaner

Location: Northumberland

Hourly Rate: £14.25 - £16.25 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday 1pm till 6pm however would consider 12.30pm till 5.30pm or 2.30pm till 6/6.30pm

Are you reliable, hardworking, and take pride in creating a clean and welcoming environment? Empowering Learning are working with a School in the Northumberland area for a dedicated School Cleaner to help maintain high standards of cleanliness within their school to start with immediate effect.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out daily cleaning tasks including classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas.
• Ensure all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard, following health and safety guidelines.
• Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively.
• Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly.
• Work as part of a team to ensure the school remains a safe and pleasant place for pupils and staff.

Requirements:

• Previous cleaning experience.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Reliability and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have a Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to purchase one.
• Be able to provide professional references for the last 2 years
• Able to start immediately
