Job summary

Wellspring Academy Trust is seeking a relief cleaner to join a friendly team in our schools. No experience needed; full training is provided from day one, and you will help keep classrooms, offices and washrooms fresh and tidy.

This is a casual, zero-hours contract. The role is flexible and called upon on an as-and-when-needed basis to cover staff absences, holidays or busy periods. You will work safely, follow COSHH guidelines and contribute to a safe environment for pupils and staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Keep classrooms, offices and washrooms clean and tidy.
• Carry out sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and bin empties.
• Sanitise washrooms and restock hygiene supplies.
• Follow Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines (training provided).
• Occasionally perform deeper cleans and help secure the site when required.

• Contract Details: This is a casual, zero-hours contract. As a relief cleaner, you will be called upon to work on an "as-and-when-needed" basis to cover staff absences, holidays, or extra busy periods. This is a highly flexible role perfect for someone looking for occasional work.

What You'll Be Doing

Working as part of a friendly team, you will keep classrooms, offices and washrooms fresh and tidy.

• Carrying out everyday cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and emptying bins.
• Sanitising washrooms and keeping hygiene supplies (soap, paper towels) fully stocked.
• Using cleaning equipment and products safely (we will teach you all the Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines).
• Carrying out occasional deep cleans during school holiday periods.
• Helping lock or unlock the site and keeping the school premises secure.
