Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Chef in a catering or education setting is desirable.
• Relevant catering or culinary qualification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for preparing fresh, high-quality food.
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking, and serving high-quality meals for pupils and staff.
• Managing daily kitchen operations and food production.
• Ensuring meals are prepared in line with menus, nutritional standards, and portion controls.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and allergen management.
• Assisting with stock control, ordering, deliveries, and stock rotation.
• Ensuring the kitchen is clean, safe, and compliant with all regulations.
• Supporting the catering team to deliver an excellent dining experience.
• Completing relevant food safety and operational documentation.
